Reading Tutoring
Whether your child is just learning their ABC’s, or interpreting themes in a novel, we have sessions for that! Each student takes a reading assessment to give us a baseline to start building our plans from. Through parent and child interviews, we refine our plan and create a learning path that is unique to your child. Using the Science of Reading, and a phonics based approach, your child will be able to tackle any word you put in front of them. We use various types of comprehension strategies to enable our students to read between the lines and interpret texts, and leverage high interest topics to foster a love of reading. *We recommend 2-3 days of tutoring/week.
Reading Assessment only – $85.00: your child will be given the appropriate reading assessments to identify areas of weakness and strength. When you sign up with us for tutoring sessions, we roll your first session into that $85.00.
One hour Private tutoring session – $50.00
Math Tutoring
Numbers seem so concrete, and yet complex at the same time. Our multi-sensory approach to math enables students to experience learning using a hands-on approach to numbers and real-world examples of concepts. Each student will begin with an assessment to test their knowledge of numbers and operations, algebraic thinking, concepts and application, and calculation/fact fluency. With that information, we find gaps in learning and reteach those skills to strengthen your child’s foundational skills that they can use throughout all levels of math. We blend traditional and common core math strategies to teach math concepts in a way that makes sense to your child. *We recommend 2-3 days of tutoring/week.
Math Assessment only – $85.00: your child will be given two assessments to identify areas of weakness and strength in fact fluency and computation. When you sign up with us for tutoring sessions, we roll your first session into that $85.00.
One hour Private tutoring session – $50.00

Other Services
Keyboarding Classes
All ages welcome! Schools expect children to complete projects and take assessments online but never teach children how to type appropriately. Many students have lower grades on these assignments because of their lack of keyboarding knowledge. As an adult, you might not have had the opportunity to formally learn how to type and have been plucking your way through work e-mails. Your job might even ask you to take keyboarding classes. You can take classes from us!
Youth or Adult – $30/week
Test Preparation
Test Taking Strategies: Got test anxiety? Many people do! We will teach you tips and tricks to make test taking easier, and maybe even fun!
$45/Session – 30 minutes
HSPT/ACT/PSAT/SAT/and GED prep: We will help you with your studying and work through practice problems to help you gain confidence and give you extra practice to ensure that you are ready to tackle these big tests! We also help you construct written responses and essays that thoroughly answer the questions.
$75/Session – 1 hour
Handwriting
Print and cursive handwriting practice. Sessions focus on proper letter formation, pencil grip, posture, fine motor activities and strengthening exercises to enable your student to have more control when they write. *Recommended 3x a week.
$30/Session – 30 minutes
Social Skills
In this fast paced world, it’s easy to get caught up in your own wants and needs. Children live in a world of “me.” They need to be taught how to handle situations appropriately, like how to respond when they disagree, how to share and take turns, how to express their feelings, and more. These sessions will focus on various social skills and give children a chane to practice them in scenarios to strengthen their skills and prepare them for interactions outside of our classroom.
